Our multi-step painting process

Discover how KBAIRONDOORS engineers lasting durability into every custom and stock iron door. Through rigorous insulation, sand-blasting, multi-layer zinc coatings, and baked epoxy primers, our doors withstand harsh coastal climates, freezing winters, and blazing summers with timeless beauty.

Step 1: insulation and surface preparation

Every door begins with complete interior foam insulation, injected seamlessly using high-grade foam guns to ensure thermal efficiency. Next, the iron undergoes thorough sand-blasting followed by an electro-sprayed zinc anti-rust protective coating applied meticulously across all faces and corners. Precision door adjustments and comprehensive pre-inspections guarantee flawless fitment before finishing proceeds.

Step 2: dual epoxy priming and oven curing

To combat extreme heat, cold, and coastal air, we coat the entire door in iron oxide epoxy intermediate primer—the critical backbone of our rust defense. The door enters our industrial curing oven to bake the primer into a solid bond. It is then inspected, spot-repaired, fine polished, and treated with a reinforced second anti-rust primer coat for impenetrable protection.

Step 3: fine grinding and surface color coat

After the dual-priming phase, our artisans perform secondary micro-inspections and fine grinding to create a mirror-smooth foundation. The custom top surface paint is applied, infusing rich color and luster into the iron. A final quality check ensures your door from KBAIRONDOORS leaves our facility in pristine condition, ready for years of performance.
